WHO IS EMILEE?

A voracious reader as a child, I fell out of the practice when textbooks consumed me in college. Now I'm once again a reading addict thanks to Bookstagram. I will never conquer my TBR, but I am going to try my hardest anyway! (While still requesting books on Netgalley like it's my job). I have read over 100 books a year for the past 4 years and over 200 books in 2020. I read in a range of genres, but my top genres are mystery/thriller, historical fiction, middle grade, and memoir. I look for strong character development, likeable characters, and a plot that moves.

I rate books with feelings because stars stress me out.

I started reviewing books on my Bookstagram, where I now post about 5 times a week.

I read a lot of audio and eBooks and I work hard to have good digital book photos. I have even created book photo tutorials!

I review books not only for my only records (with as many books as I read, I can't always remember what I thought), but to start conversations with other readers. Plus I love helping someone find their next favorite read!

In addition to Bookstagram, I review on Goodreads and The StoryGraph.
