What a fun book. As someone who enjoys cooking shows, especially kid's cooking shows, this book was right up my alley. Alice and James are signed up for their favorite cooking show by James' new girlfriend Hanna. But when the show starts they learn it's not the sweet show they love, but a more fierce competition that perhaps is also being sabotaged somehow. I loved that the scenarios of the book made Alice learn how to be a better friend, daughter, and ultimately how to be better at being herself. It was so cute and it would make the most charming movie.
