This is definitely not my favorite Nancy that I've read so far in my 2020 reread. You can tell that this is the first book after Edward dies and stops editing and Harriet takes over. The tone of the book shifts a bit and there is much more sexism present. Nancy is maturing as the writing is maturing however. She is more willing to ask for assistance in this one vs the first 6 books.
