Nancy Drew #19, The Quest of the Missing Map-Review

I give this book two eye rolls. One for the fact there is a literal buried treasure. The second for the fact that Nancy is continually fooled. There are SO MANY kidnappings in this book. Several of Nancy herself. She continually is bamboozled! And speaking of kidnappings, Nancy is not saving herself in any of these situations. She is mostly saved by Ned. He is like a mom of a toddler with eyes in every direction looking out for her. Mrs. Chatham and Trixie are the two non-repeating main characters and they need a large dose of family therapy. There are some issues there that they don't have the tools to work out themselves. Overall this one lacks originality because they just are continually duped in a very similar manner. I do like that we get more Ned in this one though.

If you want to join in a Nancy Drew Book-club, I run the #NancyDrewBookCrew over on my Instagramwhere we are reading all the books in order.
