A Murder at Harvard and a Half Century of Silence
by: Becky Cooper
rating: liked
Even if you aren't a huge true crime fan, I think this title will appeal to you. It is a meticulously researched deep dive into victim Jane Britton's life, but also into Harvard and the anthropology community. The author is transparent about the way that researching this story affected her life and added a layer of interest for me. When Cooper started researching this story it was an unsolved murder and there were multiple suspects that were flagged by many people. You get to go along with Cooper as she peels back all the layers and tries to get at the truth. DO NOT Google this crime before you read the book. You will want to experience the reveals in this story as Cooper writes them.
