Why I hate the American Cover of the first Flavia book.

This is how I feel:

Here's the deal. It's just not a good cover.

I have put off reading this book for AGES because I don't like that cover. It makes me cringe. It's the equivalent of a bad PowerPoint presentation rife with clip art. I just dislike it so much! I finally read the book and I really enjoyed it, but I still was unhappy every time I had to look at the cover.
